One woman found the place her dog goes to when she just wants a little space for herself. At this stage our hearts break over rescue dogs special spot.
Clover is a Havanese who was adopted by Kristi of Texas in September 2020 to be a friend for their other dog. Kristi told Newsweek that we had an old English sheepdog named Winston who was just crazy about the little dogs. As soon as we got her she was the boss in the house. To Kristi and her family, the cute and affectionate Clover is the best pup friend a girl could have, but when she doesn’t like something, you know it. Kristi said, “When she wants you to hold her or move over, she gets very chatty.” And she is also a grumpy sleeper. If you accidentally move her, she’ll grumble.
But more recently Clover has expressed her feelings in an altogether different manner. A new dog arrived to stay at Clover’s house last spring. This dog had originally been fostered but subsequently became a permanent part of the pack. It is recommended by a study of 21,000 canines published in the journal Evolution, Medicine, and Public Health, that dogs benefit from having regular, still socially pleasant, regular social interaction with other canines. Dogs who have less routine social interaction with other dogs tend to have poorer health outcomes.
But every dog needs a rest, apparently. That’s just what Kristi has found out about Clover now. She said, Clover has particularly been wanting to go out and sit on the porch a lot more lately and have her ‘me’ time. I believe it is to escape from the other dogs–because they always want to play. Whenever you move her accidentally, she will grumble.

For any healthy dog, having a playmate is a necessary part of life. A study of 21,000 dogs, published in the journal Evolution, Medicine, and Public Health, reported that dogs who were exposed to routine activities and had more regular opportunities to interact with other dogs had healthier outcomes than those who had less such interaction. Written alongside the footage: “Everyone needs a little time alone.” The internet agreed. My older one does the same thing. Says one viewer, marginally hurt, “They don’t even hear you when you call them. Some say that her actions were so sweet.”
A third said, “She’s adorable, such a little girl.
The busy Christmas holiday season is not so far away, so Clover is likely to make a few more trips out to her special spot. Who knows? Out there, some human companions may also be taking a breather with her.
